Battle Cry July/August


During my indoctrination into the Aggie Church [Assemblies of God] at a younger age, I was exposed to Jack T. Chick tracts and indeed I used them in my "witnessing" to bring people into fundamentalism christianhood. I was unaware of some of the controversies involved and would have dismissed it as "the work of Satan" if I had known. I had never heard of Alberto Rivera, Elaine Moses and her cohort Rebecca Brown [a.k.a. Dr. Ruth Bailey], John Todd, or Bill Schnoebelen. I did know and read the works of Charles Finney and Hal Lindsay. [By the way Hal, what happened to the rapture occurring in 1981?]

I look back on that period of my life with mixed emotions. The problems that I'd had fitting in socially were not alleviated by my forays into pentecostalism. Nor were my fantasies about women relieved. Two things did happen during that time that may have ultimately saved my life. It was a church member who called my father and blew the whistle on my mother's physical abuse. And I took a break from drinking and using street drugs. It was during that break that I was exposed to an accurate definition of addiction. I remembered that definition several years later when I was seeking a way out of my own active addiction.

Husband [non-theist] has an obsession with Jack Chick tracts. To my chagrin, he dropped-- I think it was-- 15 bucks on a box of them and now he is on the list to receive a copy of each new freebie as it comes out. Additionally, he gets a bi-monthly copy of Jack Chick's little 16 page "Battle Cry."

Jack Chick has been a long-time advocate of conspiracy theories regarding the Vatican, the Illuminati, and witchcraft. Via contact with the late Alberto Rivera and the now convicted rapist alleged former satanic high priest and Green Beret John Todd, Chick has made various claims in his tracts that are not historically accurate. Among the claims are that the Vatican orchestrated the founding of the Muslim religion and the Holocaust, and that an unholy triad of witches, Masons, and Catholics [some being Jesuits a.k.a. Illuminati] have infiltrated all or most christian churches. Sucks to be christian these days. According to Chickology, one can't trust the cops or the folks in most christian churches these days.

Jack Chick has [wisely] chosen to distance himself from the now dead Elaine Moses and her controversial defrocked physician cohort Ruth Bailey/Rebecca Brown. Both have claimed to be witches who converted to Christ. Brown authored a book about curses on christians and others. Elaine Moses claimed to have literally married Satan [in a white tuxedo] and then supposedly traveled all over Europe and the U.S.A. on behalf of some huge satanic network. Brown was brought up on charges [as Dr. Ruth Bailey] for doing things like praying over patients for deliverance from demons, diagnosing non-existent illnesses in patients, claiming special knowledge of healing including sharing Moses' leukemia very much in the fashion of pranic healing but with the twist of actually [allegedly] coming down with Moses' leukemia herself, and injecting people with non-medically necessary controlled substances for treatment of the non-medically existing diseases.

In the July/August issue of Battle Cry in the editorial on page 15-16, Jack Chick claims that the [now dead] Alberto Rivera as a [supposed] Jesuit was told that Pope John Paul II [also dead] in pre-papal days of lusting after the young boys of the factory workers he was [supposedly] assigned to investigate priests who were assigned to minister to Polish factory workers. Alberto Rivera was no Jesuit, despite his pretensions otherwise. He was a bit of a con man and a fraud. Many christian bookstores removed the Alberto comics when he was found out. Chick touted the action as a victory for the Vatican and Satan. In the editorial, there is an oblique reference to the controversy.

Also in this issue are advertisements for various books-- including one by anti-Mason and alleged former wiccan turned satanist Bill Schnoebelen-- witnessing and tract-passing tips, a summary of a lawsuit allowing a bible study outfit to send inmates who request it material [note: an outcome which I believe is correct according to the described circumstances], and references to the sexual abuse scandal within some catholic churches in California [continuation column on page 7 subtitled "Homosexual Subculture"], and a few other tidbits.

The back cover features a cartoon frame equating Islam's promise of peace with chopping the heads off of the infidels. A tiny chick in the right-hand corner says, "Ouch" much in the fashion of Spike the dog in some of the tracts.

I found the editorial in the July/August issue of Battle Cry to be particularly abhorrent. Then again, Jack Chick is known to be anti many things and to use inaccurate or made-up information as the basis of the biographical stories featured in his tracts.

Another day is here and we awake to the sun upon us,

Take the passage by Nathaniel Branden and substitute the word "god" or "higher power" or deity of your choice where it says other people. Thus you now have a description of an impaired relationship with divinity:

How we grown out of that sort of relationship with divinity? Or have we clung fast to it because it is the only thing we have ever known? What is a good [Pagan, Christian, Polytheist, Monotheist, Duodeist, regular Deist, Nontheist, Buddhist, Hindu, Moslem, Spiritualist ...] to do? How can we grow away from our old notions and mature into something better?

At the risk of offending everyone, I'd much rather believe in the flying spaghetti monster or in the olden Hebrew god who made the world and then flat-left it than base my self-esteem on my idea of whether or not I am looked upon with favor by any god or goddess. If I believe in the flying spaghetti monster or in nothing or in the impersonal forces of nature which are indifferent to my pleas, my life becomes simpler. I don't have to get hung up on whether or not I am going to heaven or the summerlands or the flying spaghetti spaceship in the sky when I die. I can concentrate on the here and now, squeezing whatever joy I can out of each day-- and not forgetting to share the joy. Can I have joy without a personal relationship with the olden ones of my pagan roots? You betcha. Can I have morality without religion? Sure I can. And it is unencumbered by a belief in the twist of fate, no coincidences, the frozen chosen, or being 'right where I'm supposed to be.' Why then should I believe?

Why then magic? Why then the cycle of prayers, reading/singing/sounding instruments, meditation, gathering energy, sending, cakes and ale, grounding the circle? Why not just skip the whole deal?

There is freedom when walking the [somewhat modified] path of my spiritual ancestors. There is power too. This mantel of power I will not deny. Because I am not afraid of my separateness--my intrinsic aloneness--I do not fall into the error of believing that individualism must be dammed in favor of the new agey "we" of the cosmic soul. Because I embrace who I am, I am no longer a frightened child calling in the dark praying to whoever cares to answer. I no longer have to hide behind the great collective "we." I have grown up.

Because I have freedom from religion, I can freely choose how to conduct my life without regard to whose god is the right one. And I don't have to fear scientific knowledge. I can truly embrace life as being sacred. And I can truly celebrate diversity.

I am a Pagan. I am a Solitary Hedge Witch. These words are visceral. They are words of power because they hit me in the gut. These words sprang forth from my innermost being when I first began to re-claim all that I am.

What do I believe? Do I believe? Are all the gods one god and all the goddesses one goddess? Are there more than two? Are there less than two? Why does this matter to you? How I work with power and spiritual principles is within the sacristy of my own life. Shall I profane it by spelling out my spiritual or religious beliefs or non-beliefs? What does it matter who or what I gather energy from? It is not the who, it is the how. It is focused intent. It is healing. Witches didn't used to be afraid of pissing into bottles or of offering their own blood. They knew something that our sanitized society and modern how to be a witch books no longer care to acknowledge. In the healing, blood must be spilled.

In the healing, blood must be spilled. People who cut feel the pain of the universe keenly. In western society, people who cut are looked upon as pariahs and social outcasts. People who cut need "treatment" where very often the professional helpers do not believe that people who cut can truly "get well." The best the professional helpers can hope for is that their cutting patients can "age out of their personality disorders." The professional helpers all participate in professional supervision sessions lest they catch the 'craziness' of their cutting customers. If the cutting is the letting of blood, then is there not a holy act in the release? In our society, cutters are unhappy traumatized people who need "treatment." In other societies with other expectations, cutters are holy people and healers.

In the Moroccan society, Shamans cut their own heads open. The afflicted partake of the sacred offering of blood by mixing it with the staff or the sweetness of life. Bread has been called the staff of life. The holy man Jesus is called the bread of life. Jewish people offer each other sugar cubes during their new year as a symbol of the sweetness of life that is possible. Isaiah in the hebrew bible tells us, "By his stripes we are healed." [KJV]. Wounds caused by whipping bleed. Some modern day celebrants of easter in Spain beat on drums until their hands bleed. Others flagellate themselves in religious estacy. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in blood transfusions. There is indeed power in the blood. Cutters and people of faith all acknowledge this power in different ways. But it is there, whether we embrace it or deny it.

Catholics and Protestants unite with a tangible god in partaking of communion. The body and blood of their god is [or is like] the bread and wine is [or is like] the cakes and ale of the Witches is like dipping bread and sugar cubes into bleeding heads of shamans. Vodoun practitioners refer to loa possession as "riding the head."

Learning to navigate through this life with true power is the challenge I present to you today. Remember though, that all revolutions are bloody. It is indeed a bloody gauntlet that I throw down before all of us, regardless of anyone's creed or non-creed.

May we all put on the mantel of power and embrace ourselves in our aloneness. Only by embracing our aloneness can we truly find each other without merging into nothingness.

As Went Maine So Went Vermont - Volume 2

It comes with great sadness that I must inform anyone reading this that I was far more right then I had intended to be a while back when I called most of the people of the United States idiots as it pertained to the Dubai Ports deal. As everyone ran around like a chicken with their heads cut off desperately trying to get that whole endeavor stopped, I casually tried to point out to as many people as I could that I thought it was a great idea, and started looking down on the President for not making a better case for it. In the end the deal fell through and the people of America went back to their usual tasks of playing Runescape, watching American Idol, talking about how government never does anything, and of course bashing America. Now of course as I have found out that I was more right then I had even known I should take the high road and let it all simply fly over everyone’s heads but then again I am a prick, so let me elaborate. You all wouldn’t expect any less of me now would you?

Initially when Dubai bought the rights to manage the American Ports I had found it rather odd that anyone cared at all realistically because all that you do when you run the ports is keep control of the inventory at the docks. It isn’t exactly terrorist haven to deal with all the shipping containers because they should be getting checked when they leave the Port Terminal anyway, but most of them are sealed when they get there and sealed when they leave. I should know, I’m in the business and if the seal on the container isn’t the same as the one on the documentation it doesn’t go anywhere, but I digress because all of that was moot anyway because those rights hadn’t been ours to sell. They belonged to a British Company who’s biggest investor was the Queen of England and the second biggest was the Bin Laden Family. Shows how smart everyone was before the deal, but again I shall carry on. The fact of the matter was that they were unable to make a profit with it so they sold it to Dubai and they happen to already own over half of the world’s ports. This includes most of the ones that actually SHIP the things to America, and had put the seal on the trailers that you aren’t allowed to tamper with when they get here.

Without going any further, I should point out that anyone who actually took the time to look up Dubai would have realized that they like their money, and have invested it very heavily into things other than oil. They are the experts on shipping by sea in the world, and countries like China, Russia, Venezuela, Mexico, and basically every country in the world that ships things rely on them to control the worlds shipping, and they are NOT going to allow that to be jeopardized by terrorism. It cuts into their bottom line quite a bit and that was really all I needed to know to begin with about the whole endeavor. Part of taking it all as seriously as they do, is in the knowing that it can all become someone else’s business just as quickly as it became theirs. With China now in control of a larger share of the world’s ports {including a lot of OURS for the geniuses that never paid attention} it is critical for Dubai to continue their excellence in the industry as it is no doubt that China has a lot of disposable income and no mercy since its people are slaves.

Then came the looming feeling that I had gotten {and many others agreed} that we were going to have a well respected Middle Eastern nation told that they were not allowed to compete in the American economy which is part of any and all good propaganda campaigns here and abroad. Middle Eastern Islamic Extremists in particular like to laud it over their own people’s heads that we just steal from everyone on earth, so it isn’t just reserved for the uneducated in America to think that. The big difference over there is that it is also considered a good thing to kill those that are different than you with impunity. I realize that most people don’t care what they think, but I want someone to tell me that the next time the ACLU is walking into court with a bunch of Imams who were arrested on a plane acting like terrorists. We all care very much what they all think of us but simply not where it counts.

What it all comes down to is the fact that we in this country have started thinking that we have a right to know absolutely everything, and be damned your fellow neighbor as long as you can smear those that you hate. We watch people in this country intentionally butcher the English language to make sure that their slander sticks {like all the “domestic spying” we whine about when the CIA listens to people talk on the phone overseas, get a dictionary if it still sounds reasonable} and we think it is just fine if the New York Times reports on top secret things, just because we have become so inbred that we believe everyone is out to get us especially the President. During World War 2 the BBC sent coded messages to the French during ALL of their radio broadcasts, and do you think that they would do that today? Not hardly. They would give any and all top secret information to the New York Times and then they would publish it on the front page so it didn’t surprise me when the White House finally declassified what was really going on with the whole Dubai Ports deal this week as it was all moot now anyway. I had never realized how right I was on the whole thing, and nobody who was against it will ever admit they were wrong, so I am having a bit of an “I Told You So” anyway.

Apparently Dubai had made a back room deal with the White House to let CIA agents be stationed at every Dubai Port. Not just the ones in America but all of the ones abroad as well. That means we would have had CIA agents {with the blessings of Dubai} at their ports in China, Russia, Indonesia, North Korea, Venezuela, Pakistan, and almost every Middle Eastern country. We would have had our CIA agents at every hub of every government that seeks to do us harm, and it all would have been a big secret, LIKE IT SHOULD BE! How safe do you all feel now? I know some people are reading this and saying to themselves that it is a good thing not to have the CIA scattered all over the place, and some people even believe that the CIA is only there to steal rights from them. To those people I simply say that I am sorry for you, but there is nothing that anyone can do to protect you from your own worst enemy, yourself ;8o)

God Bless The Idiots - Volume 15

Well in another side of the rational universe Harry Reid decided to show his resolve by scheduling an “All Night” senate session geared towards setting a deadline for troop withdrawal from Iraq. Many people out there think that this is a great idea, some think it is a bad idea, but most see it as exactly what it is, and that would be a “Fund Raising” stunt. The thought that pulling “All Night” sessions to get important business done appears to be a great marketing strategy as the total lunatics that energize the base of the Democratic Party will start donating to their re-election coffers like crazy, but as far as simply staying up all night to take votes that will never pass is concerned it is just bad business in general for everyone else. My biggest concern in all of this is that with the help of the news media the Democrats in Congress are being allowed to beat down the mentally handicapped to the point of being abused.

Why would I be so blunt about that? Well the fact is that the Congress now has an approval rating of less than 14%, and for a bunch of people who are running around whining about the “Will Of The People” all the time that would stand to mean that the “Will Of The People” is that Congress Sucks. Part of that has a lot to do with their inability to listen to what people really want, and the other 14% of total morons that think this Congress is just peachy, do not represent people even born on planet earth. They have no concept of things outside of their own little box but they do have the ability to raise funds for extreme causes and that is all that matters to this Congress. It is the easy way out unfortunately because this small group of fringe left wing never think about the consequences of their own actions as long as they get their short term goals met.

Take the war in Iraq for instance. It's fine to disagree with it but the arguments against it are a lot more irrational then the average person seems to acknowledge at times. Constantly harping on issues like “No weapons of Mass Destruction” or “We haven't caught Osama Bin Laden” merely energizes the other side's resolve every bit as much as you think it energizes yours. Logic and history are still on the side of the pro Iraq War crowd and it will never go away until there is more intelligent debate over it. First of all there were a lot more reasons for going into Iraq and any one of them would have been good enough to most on the other side. Demeaning them by saying things like “He just wants to avenge his daddy” {as a slight on Hussein's assassination attempt on GHW Bush} simply brings resolve to people like myself that remind people that he was a President and the same attempt on Bill Clinton should have been met with equal force. Secondly there has NEVER been a war in which the enemy has been captured until the end. Hitler was found dead at the END of World War 2 and the Emperor of Japan was was left in his “Ceremonial” role afterwards too. We never went to get King George at the end of the Revolutionary War and so on and so forth. While they quibble about how they want to treat the end of this war they are missing the basic will of the American People which is to WIN the war.

Another horrible truth for those on that side of the isle is that War is not a game. In a game you have defined rules and a start and an end time. In War you have two ending conclusions. You either Win or you Lose. Despite all the revisionism that occurs we forget that all wars end with a winner and a loser or they don't end. In the case of Japan and the United States, Japan lost and the United States won and there was peace between the two countries. In the case of Vietnam, North Vietnam won and we lost and there has been peace between the two countries. In the latter of the two we had a situation in which they had a strategy to win from the very beginning and we not only didn’t but we had a Congress that was interfering and the North Vietnamese knew this and simply waited for the ending and proclaimed victory by force. All the revisionism in the world doesn’t change that fact, and we have the same thing going on here but for a different set of circumstances.

Idiocy on the part of the Bush administration is definitely the reasoning behind the poor state of affairs right now, and I have no problem admitting that but the reason I admit that is different then others. Through appeasement he managed to fight a war on the terms of everyone else and ended up in a quagmire, and what he heeded to do was treat it like the wars in the past that we won. Sadly as you watch the behavior of the Congress and the news media in this country you can see that we will never win wars until we re-establish the parameters. We should have invaded Iraq, taken it by force, killed off all of the petty tribal dictators and religious zealots, occupied the country in a totalitarian fashion, enforced one law and one law alone which would have been “If you are caught in the streets with a gun you die” and then maintained order. During that time a government could have been formed while the people felt safe, bolstered, and we would have been gone by now. The world would have called us Imperialist, and they would have hated us, and when we left and the Iraqi people were running their own country with security and hope, nobody would have ever given us the credit for it. That’s how it works no matter what and that is where Bush and his people are a bunch of idiots. Leaders lead, and whiners whine and it will never change.

Now we are left with a bunch of politicians catering to the total morons in this country that have been ruining it since the 60s anyway. The greatest generation {those that fought in World War 2 and those that supported them} saw their own spoiled rotten, overly enlightened children destroy what actually creates peace, and that is the ability to win wars get stripped from America, and now a new generation of children who can see as plain as the nose on their faces how dumb the baby boomers were and they are still enlisting to fight the war on terrorism at record pace. The kooks are still trying to hold the country hostage with the help of the dinosaurs that run the Congress, and will have to be dragged from their kicking and screaming while many think that they are actually doing something to end a war. Ending the war in defeat because those in the Islamic Extremist community DO want to go out and create chaos, kill everyone, rape, pillage, and enjoy the free pass that they will get when they do because it will all be America’s fault. That’s what they will be teaching every generation from here on out, and those that deny it aren’t as stupid as we think they are. A lot of them love it.

I have a few suggestions for the wonderfully enlightened that want to end expensive wars all over the world, by giving you a few wars that the dolts that run Congress can feel free to end. First I would suggest the war on drugs. We have been fighting this war against a much more diabolical enemy that lives among us and kills and victimizes more Americans than anyone in the Middle East. Unlike the belief that spending more money to fight that war is a great idea, perhaps simply ending that 50 year old war would save American lives. Buying drugs from the local drug store after it goes through a rigorous testing process and using the taxes for treatment programs and education couldn’t hurt! How about the war on Prostitution? MILLIONS of women have died from this war because of the legal ramifications of being involved in it. How can a woman get away from a drug crazed pimp when to go to law enforcement means that SHE goes to jail? Again the taxes and other things that could be levied and the crime syndications that would have no reason for existing anymore would make that war another boon to the anti war crowd! How about the war on poverty? How much of that money, resources and time gets to the poor? When the government got involved it appears that it all got worse, go figure!

The worst part about all of this is that I am totally serious here. The United Nations will always have a slew of places that they want to send the United States military to solve humanitarian crisis’ and the fact is the only ones that they don’t want us in are the ones that protect our safety. They will never thank us, they will never support us, and they will never stop. Everyone I have met that is on their way into the military have different reasons for going in but almost all of them say the same thing somewhere in it. “I want the terrorists to fight trained soldiers somewhere else and not civilians here,” which is what is happening. Like those that want to believe that there is some big conspiracy to keep the truth from you on 9/11 that Bush really did it, you have to be an even bigger idiot to think that you can keep a million soldiers from talking. The tens of thousands of people that it would have taken to pull off a coup on 9/11 by our own administration would be just as hard to keep quiet, and the dozen military men and women that speak out against the war in Iraq is the same deal. The people on the left seem to like their consensus and their majorities when it fits their own needs but none of them are as overwhelming as that. Don’t forget that when it is all said and done that digging as deep as you can to get at what you want to be the truth usually just leaves you in a big hole ;8o)

My cousin is in need

Hello all, I am sending this to you requesting healing prayers and blessings, here is the story.

My Cousin Brooke, is in need of healing blessings. She is going to be 12 years old in a few days and she has had one brain surgery to remove a tumor that if it grew back, there wouldn't be anything that they would be able to do about it. Well, for about 6 months she was doing fine and then she went back in for another check up, and she was getting headaches and having problems seeing, to make sure that the tumor hadn't grown back they did another scan to see and it had started growing back. The doctors wanted to send her to Tennessee, to St, Jude's Children's hospital but they were full and they couldn't do anything different then what they could do at Mayo Clinic, so they kept Brooke at home with her mom, who was pregnant and named the baby Marie Brooke. Brooke started chemotherapy and radiation about three weeks ago and she seemed to be taking the treatments alright, she was just a little tired from the treatment. Nothing out of the ordinary. The doctors let her skip one of the chemo and radiation treatments because she wanted to go to camp, and she had a blast while she was there. And that was just last week. Earlier tonight my mom got a phone call from my uncle, Brooke's grandpa, telling us that this morning her mom and other sisters had to help her out of bed because one side of her body was almost completely numb. And today she had a doctors appointment to check and see how everything is going and the tumors that she has are growing even with chemo and radiation treatments that she has been receiving and there was nothing else that was possible that they could do any more. So they decided to stop the chemo and radiation treatments. And a couple of hours later after that phone call my mom received another phone call telling us that Brooke had already worsened today and was in a wheel chair because she couldn't even walk. That is how bad the tumors are. And the Make-a-Wish foundation is taking her and her family down to Disney world, next week just before her birthday. Which will be fun for her and her family.

Please pass this on to anyone that you know and ask for as many healing prayers and blessings as possible to be sent to Brooke. She is a sweet and fun-loving girl and doesn't deserve to pass on in the beginning of life.

Sylvia Plath and Sleep Apnea

Awesome woman she was, melancholy in the good old-fashioned way.
Well okay, crazy then if you must be picky about it.
Yes, she was a wonder. Wonderful stuff she wrote.
When Sylvia Plath decided to end her life with the gas pipe,
she left out milk and bread. For whom?
A question left unanswered still.

Oh Sylvia, when you were coming into your death
did you smell the stink of vinegar and did the bees'
roaring cut off your hearing?
If you still lived today, what meds would be prescribed for you?
How many weeks in between shrink visits for you?
Would they send you off to a day treatment sort of program?
A partial hospitalization thing? Or a "clubhouse?"
Would the professionals mutter against your writings during their staffings?
Would they claim that your writing was part of your sickness?

Benedryl makes me hyper.
Some folks use Seroquel for insomnia.
"Might you have sleep apnea?" I ask people when they talk about insomnia,
"That can mess up sleeping too."

Might I be obsessed with asking
random people if they have sleep apnea?
I want the world to get a c-pap machine and to have some real sleep like I get now.
But the world does not have sleep apnea.
And the news mediacs continue to dole out poisoned sugar drinks to the masses.
I swear politicians do not get enough sleep.
Again, the world does not have sleep apnea.
Too bad I think.
Yeah. At least that woulda been a relatively painless fix.

I might be content to leave the practice of medicine to the practitioners if I was convinced that they don't want us to be in their mass guinea pig parade.
Instead, I compulsively read Medscape articles
hoping for more clue-by-fours.

Pills and c-pap for a manageable life.
For me, better than the alternative.

Sylvia Plath thought that she was living in a fishbowl and folks were looking in.
Some say that is a mark of craziness. I rather think there is an element of truth in the most bizarre delusion.
And hers was rather tame.

I've rambled enough.
Here's to better days and a kinder gentler reality.

Just Fred

A local law enforcement officer stops a car for traveling faster than the posted speed limit. Since he's in a good mood that day he decides to give the poor fellow a break and write him out a warning instead of a ticket. So, he asks the man his name.

"Fred," he replies.

"Fred what?" the officer asks.

"Just Fred," the man responds.

When the officer presses him for a last name, the man tells him that he used to have a last name but lost it. The officer thinks he has a nut case on his hands but plays along with it. "Tell me Fred, how did you lose your last name?"

The man replies, "It's a long story so stay with me. I was born Fred Dingaling. I know, funny last name. The kids used to tease me all the time. So I stayed to myself. I studied hard and got good grades. When I got older I realized that I wanted to be a doctor. I went through college, medical school, internship, residency, finally got my degree so I was Fred Dingaling, MD.

"After a while I got bored being a doctor so I decided to go back to school. Dentistry was my dream. Got all the way through school, got my degree so I was now Fred Dingaling MD DDS. Got bored doing dentistry so I started fooling around with my assistant. She gave me VD. So, I was Fred Dingaling MD DDS with VD.

"Well, the ADA found out about the VD so they took away my DDS so I was Fred Dingaling MD with VD. Then the AMA found out about the ADA taking away my DDS because of the VD, so they took away my MD leaving me as Fred Dingaling with VD.

"Then the VD took away my dingaling so now I'm just Fred." The officer let him go without even a warning.

Two Forks, Maine

A friend who is nuts over white-water rafting wanted to goto this place in Maine for a few days and I went along.


We left on Sunday with my doggie looking out the bedroom window and crying. That was a bit sad.
There is no direct route to this place. It took seven hours or so. And the last bit of that was on a rather dinky road.
Ah, but the scenery was most rewarding. There were pine trees and little houses and stores and water and all of that.

The pictures in the on-line brochure really are a poor representation of The Forks Resort Center. Actually, The Forks looked a tad run down.
The lodge was not as splendid, the hot tub was made of metal, the pool had a line of algae along the rim.

The cabins and lake were sweet though.

Our room had comfortable albeit noisy beds, hooks and hangers but no dressers at all.
The air-conditioner [an older model hung out the window] worked well.
No phone in the room-- not even a direct line to the front office or emergency number-- was a safety hazard.
No television was forgivable since the wifi signal reached upward.
And the price-- 25 bucks or so per person per night-- was right.

For dinner Sunday, I had a huge portion of dead cow cooked as steak-- just the way I had ordered it and deliciously flavored with herbs and spices. Along with that came a salad [satisfactory green stuff], mashed red potatoes, and three very large grilled slices of squash.

Monday dawned wet and got wetter.
Friend went off on her white water rafting adventure [$129 buckeroos] after a false start [a showing of a vid and a solicitation to rent a wetsuit]. She came back looking very much like a frozen dead rat.
I spent most of the day sleeping. I did some puttering on the computer.
Friend and I went to the outskirts of Jackman to a trading post which had cool tourist trap stuff.
For dinner we split a plate of nachos. At 5 bucks apiece, it was a bargain. And quite tasty.
A huge portion which included the nachos, cheese, black olives, peppers, onions, and salsa.

Tuesday was a sunny-cloudy-sunny sort of day. The breakfast buffet was like buffets all over. Not distinguishable from any other breakfast buffet. Morning was spent poolside.
Afternoon we went off to Moxie Falls, a quiet stroll of less than a mile to some very turbulent water with signs advising not to even wade.
In spite of the danger, there were two locals jumping off of one rock into a swimming hole.
We also found a small memorial to someone who ?had died? at the falls.
The water was brown from tannic acid and the rocks were all broken up into slender pieces of bluish-gray.

We went off to a meeting that night at the library in Jackman.
It was a small meeting and everyone felt they had to tell us that no one could get sober and stay that way without god.
The regular members were warm and welcoming there, a point in their favor.
We ate at a little diner afterwards. I had a nice juicy reuben.

Today being Wednesday, we packed up and left with rain whipping at our backs.
Yeah it did rain more.
We did get home and doggie was happy to see me.

Letting the Fire Fly

How does one start the beginning of their story? When is the right point to actually start the beginning? I can start with all the fun stuff when I was younger and go on about how relatives are not speaking to our family, and tell you how that has an affect on me today. I can tell you about stories about my siblings and what we would do to get in trouble but I am not sure that would be where the story needs to take place.
When Life began for me, is such a debate that I am not sure that everyone has a perfect answer to this. For me, life began when I was 16. I started to grow more and more independent on issues and started to really speak my mind about some issues. Now that isn't to say I was out causing alot of havoc or trouble, just when I knew something wasn't right I would speak up on the issue. I sat back alot of my years and said nothing and did nothing and I really got tired of seeing things on the way they were and really wanted to make a difference. I really didn't know how to get those feelings out and express those feelings into the voice that I have today. There were times in school that I would say things when the time was just right, and I discovered the art of knowing when to say something and when to just keep my mouth shut.
There was one time that I can tell you about being in my Science class and the class was a total mess, everyone yelling (you would of thought that I went to a inner city school) the teacher was talking and telling us what we needed to do for our assignment and some of what he was saying was obviously missed from all the noise and craziness going on. I had my hand raised to verify what needed to be done ***(I wasn't the smartest kid I had struggles in school)** After my hand being raised for a period of time and not getting noticed, I walked up to the teachers desk and wanted to get his attention that way. As I approached the desk, and asked the teacher to again go over the assignment I wanted to make sure I heard everything correctly. This teacher yelled at me, to sit my ass down and be quite. I stood there for a moment and I looked over at my friend and walked over to our lab desk grabbed my things and walked right out of class. Now this is one of those times that I had felt at a young but old enough age to yell right back, but I kept that anger inside of me, and I learned that walking away and saying nothing was the right thing to do. I then went to the payphone and called my mom and told her what I just did, and she was on her way to come pick me up, I told her where to meet me. Now our house was about maybe 5/10 minutes away from the school and I can tell you the whole time as my mom was on her way the anger inside of me was waiting to explode. Just then my friend had came around the corner and the teacher had sent her out to come get me to come back to class. I looked at her and knew that she was going to get the explosion to the fire burning inside of me. I said right, I am not going back in there, are you kidding me? she replied with well he sent me to come get you, what should I say? I told her; tell him I am not coming back to his class and that I had just called my mom and leave it at that.
My friend leaves and I walked around the corner of the hall and as my mom was coming down the hallway here comes the Asst. Principal and has a hold of my mom's arm and had her against the wall asking for her hall pass. Well now the fire came right up and out of my mouth.."Get your hands off of my mom" the reaction to that man's face was priceless I can still see it. I know my mom had a few choice words to say at that point but the point was being able to control that fire at one point and letting go when needed for another.
Needless to say it was a very interesting meeting we had my parents, myself and the superintendent and principal and asst. principal. I have to say that I think that was the day I was afraid of my DAD..and for the right reasons he was pissed. Lately as I got older I have spoke my mind more and more and became more open to let the fire go. There are still times that I have learned to keep my mouth shut but that is more on the rare side.
So I would have to say that as writing this it got me thinking as when do you speak your mind or when do you keep your mouth shut? ~Mare

A Murder Of Crows - Volume 11

On October 1, 2006 Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean were sentenced to 11 years and 12 years in prison respectively for an incident on February 17, 2005 in which a Mexican drug smuggler by the name of Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila was shot in the buttocks while fleeing to cross the Mexican border, leaving behind nearly 800 pounds of marijuana in the van he abandoned. There have been many talking heads across the country that have taken to this case with such tenacity and zeal that it appears to be a simple case of the Bush administration and its policy on allowing Mexicans to run America from where ever they happen to be and I was one of them. I have publicly cried for the tarring and feathering of the Bush administration for it’s failed border policy and called George W Bush an idiot on several occasions for all of this foolishness. It was when Lewis “Scooter” Libby had his sentence commuted {which I had been all for a full pardon the entire time based on “Political Persecution”} that a radio talk show host by the name of Glenn Beck raised the point that Libby should be in prison because Ramos and Compean were still in prison. I am ashamed to admit that I agreed with his assessment because I found it to be typical Bush cronyism.

My problem here is that we have heard so much “white noise” about Bush being evil for 6 years that it has poisoned absolutely everyone including myself and I always liked to think that I was above that. I have found that most of the people that simply recycle what they hear are ignorant people trying to look smart {and Oprah is here for you to forum baby!} and here I was 9 months later still recycling lies from a case that I didn’t really follow. The good news is that sooner or later I will go back and do my homework and I will admit that I am wrong too. I have yet to hear any of the tens of thousands of people who have chanted that there would be a draft in 2005 admit that they were wrong {because most likely in their case it was lying and not simple mindedness} and this is what adds to the indoctrination. Where I fell prey was that I allowed a bunch of right wing people that I trusted dictate the scenario involved with that entire court case without applying the smell test, and it was every bit as bad as the people who believe that we brought down the World Trade Center. Despite 99 percent of the evidence stating that it was Islamic Extremists that did it, there are indeed people who will cling to the 1 percent of evidence that could link our own government to it and in this case I was looking at the loony interpretations and not using logic at all.

Here’s what I should have done all along but never really did. I should have ignored the talking heads beliefs to whether or not Johnny Sutton {the West Texas US Attorney} was the antichrist or not, and actually look into his record, and the case in general before taking the ball and running with it. The misinformation that I was given was based on Sutton being a rogue “law enforcement hating” US Attorney was just too easy to accept as it was being framed all the time, and again this made ME an idiot. I even have to admit that I may never have looked into the real record if Johnny Sutton himself hadn’t gone on the show of a right wing whacko and very bravely defended himself. It was 4 simple words that he said in all of it that opened my eyes and made me realize that I too was being a dupe in the whole shmoz of “Get Bush” and “Our Government is out to get us” when he said “Look at my record!”

I let the spin that I had heard from the Internet and the talking heads paint the picture for me based on two incidents in the life of Johnny Sutton and one of them was the Ramos and Compian case. Publicly these talk show hosts fed misinformation to me {and please keep in mind that I am not chastising them for misinformation dealing because they are usually right about a lot} and I took the bit and ran with it but here is the generalizations about what really happened in the two cases and please feel free to go look up the information yourself. The other case being Gilmer Hernandez from Rocksprings who was the Sherriff’s Deputy from Edwards County Texas who was convicted of a Civil Rights violation by shooting an illegal alien in the face while the SUV that she was a passenger in was speeding away. The rule of law, whether you like it or not is that illegal aliens that are NOT putting you in mortal peril {like say speeding away towards the Mexican border} are NOT simply target shooting practice for the police. All human beings have a set of inalienable rights that include not being killed for trespassing when there is an alternative to it. He continued shooting at an SUV that was fleeing despite shooting out the back tire and whether you or I like it or not that is a crime and a JURY convicted him of that. He never filed an appeal and has been serving his jail time in obscurity. Shows that he knows he was wrong.

Now in his other “questionable” case against Ramos and Compian he was faced with a report from a border patrol agent in another state because his mother {still a Mexican citizen} called him and asked him if border agents were allowed to shoot people as they were fleeing the United States. His mother was neighbors with the drug smugglers mother and they were talking about it, and because the report HAD TO be filed by the other agent legally Sutton was caught flat footed because there had NEVER been a report filed. It was paraded around that legally all they had to do was file a verbal report, and apparently the supervisor did show up on the scene and assisted in removing all of the shell casings and other evidence, so logic would dictate that a verbal report was filed BUT nobody had the same recollections of the incident and there was NO written report at all. This forced Sutton to have to get the only other witness to the case who happened to be the drug smuggler Aldrete-Davila and give him legal passage back into the United States so that he could testify. In HUNDREDS of other cases of this sort there have been written accountings and NOBODY has ever had to face criminal investigations.

More over there was another problem with the whole case that doesn’t get written out real well to people as they hear it in the media, which was the many plea bargains that were offered to these two. Some of them were so short that they bordered on cronyism but the sentences that were given to them in the end were given to them by a JURY as well, and the fact that Aldrete-Davila WAS arrested transporting drugs again 4 months before sentencing WAS irrelevant to the crime of shooting 14 times at an unarmed man who was fleeing the country, and then allowing him to cross back into Mexico despite being wounded. Then completely removing all evidence from the scene and not filing a report. Protocol or not you have to admit that this was pretty damn fishy, and in the same regard as trying to prove all of the theories {after the fact of course} that go into how WE blew up the world trade center is almost identical to how people try to make these two look innocent. If you shot anyone in the ass would you want to make sure that there was a written report? Especially when the incident happened in broad daylight in the desert where you are going to have a damn hard time proving that you thought that he “might” have had a weapon? In a section of Texas that had only had one such incident in the past and a written report usually will clear you but a cover up will surely send you to prison?

Now for the part that NOBODY acknowledges and the two officers knew full well, that when this went to the jury they would either convict you of one, several, or ALL of the 15 indictments that were levied against you, or they would clear you of all of them {which is entirely unlikely … sorry to point to reality} and then the Judge would have to use the Federally Mandated {as in the Congress has made a mandatory 10 years be added to every Judges decision in these cases} and you would refuse the far shorter plea bargains? It doesn’t pass the smell test at all and I am sorry to say that I am ashamed of anyone that is using this as a case of Federal abuse or demonizing an EXCELLENT US Attorney or demanding that it has anything to do with why Scooter Libby deserves leniency is being very lazy. ;8o)

Which Theocracy

I spike have thought long and hard about this topic for several days and nights. This morning while praying an earnest prayer to no one or to the Thousand Voices, I saw a bush burning just outside my window. I hastened to spit out the toothpaste and ran outside. I spike got the hose full of holes and managed to extinguish the flames. The smoke cleared. Cussing, I spike cut away the damaged branches. Lo and behold, against the charred aluminum siding, a picture was forming. I spike, a nobody in the world of theos, became gifted with a vision of divine proportions. I hastened to pay attention, so I could faithfully record all that I saw.

I spike, saw with my own two eyes, a parade forming. Much to my astonishment, a momentous chant rose up from the center as one voice. "We are a Christian Nation. We are a religious Nation. We pray. Get over it." I spike trembled greatly.

I spike saw a crowd of onlookers whipped into a frenzy, an alien elven glossolalia streaming from their lips. Three males of a family of recent legal immigrants from Riojo, Spain were beating on drums until their bloodied hands began to gush open. Father and two boys began singing in ascending keys, "Ha-su, Ha-su, Ha-su." The mother was engaged in flagellating herself with a wicked-looking leather whip.

With an inhuman quickness, a Methodist minister from the Troy Conference broke free from the center of the passing parade and rushed over to our Spanish friends. "Stop!" she yelled, attempting to insert herself between the mother and her weapon of faith, "You mustn't. Your bodies are the holy temples--" The eldest boy looked up at her in shock. "We recognize no women as spiritual authorities in our Holy Roman Church," he said in halting English. "Go away," added his younger brother.

A few Dominionists, all fired up from their recent convention down a back road in Carolina, began gathering rocks from nearby front yards. They quickly pelted the Spanish mother and the Methodist minister. "Lesbians," one sneered. "Perversion!" "Adulteresses," shouted others. "Isn't your husband man enough to keep you satisfied?" yelled out an adolescent girl. More rocks rained on the two women. "Abomination!" "We are saved and without sin!" "Die, scum!"

A Jehovah's Witness
raced away from a group knocking on door of empty houses [for everyone was either watching or in the mandated Christianity is Cool parade] and a young man in the black suit of the missionary Mormons both reached the women at the same time. Together, they dragged the two women away into the relative safety of an unlocked car. The other Jehovah's Witnesses, missing their companions, ran over into the fray. "Ye must work for your salvation in fear and trembling," they yelled as they showered paper tracts and magazines upon the stoners.

Realizing that their targets had disappeared, some of the accusing crowd began arguing with the Jehovah's Witnesses over salvation and the rest began screaming at the Pentecostals who were still speaking in Elven. "Witches," they hissed. "The age of speaking in tongues has been over with." A stout man shouted back, "No, it's not. Come down to the river this evening and be ye baptized in water and in Spirit!"

And still the parade continued. I spike saw these things with mine own two eyes and heard these things with mine own two ears. Just then, a contingent of Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, and Episcopalians came upon the battling Baptists and Pentecostals. "Suffer the little children--" A lone voice interrupted. "The river is full of P.C.B.s! It's not safe for anyone!"

The world around me fell silent then. The parade music and chanting stopped. The on-lookers and the folks who were part of the officially approved organizations on parade came closer to the circle surrounding that one lone woman's voice. Some stopped to gather up more rocks. Others took out guns and cell phones. A young man in fatigues and the beret of a Christian Identity group grabbed one of the drums deserted by the legally immigrated family from Spain. He brought his hands down upon it in slow steady beats. The crowd erupted into loud raucous laughter. Cries of "Al Gore lover!" and "Eco-nazi!" rang out. "Fornicator." The young man began chanting, "The eco-nazis lay with people of other races. The fornicator must die." A couple of sympathizers put in hasty calls to 9-1-1 on their cellphones. They wanted the eco-nazi to be taken away to a re-education camp in Memphis, Tennessee or somewheres like that.

There was no more parade. The humans had congealed into an ugly snarling mass of angry souls. Rocks flew from all directions. "Kill them all and let our God sort them out!" one woman sang with glee. Joel's Army and the Jesus Camp kids loaded their guns and shot into the crowd at random. Windows shattered and bodies dropped. Some Quakers began a peace vigil on the corner. They were quickly picked off. I wept.

Sirens blasted and politico-ministerial-militiamen poured out of large tanks. "Everyone sit down!" came the order bellowed from a megaphone. No one sat. Instead the mayhem continued. Blood rolled freely down the streets into the sewers. Vultures flew overhead. Suddenly, a thunderclap that deafened mine ears and a drenching rain. "Basta!" a Thousand Voices rumbled, "Never again."

I found myself prostrate on the ground before the charred aluminum siding. "Tell the fools," the Thousand Voices whispered deafeningly to me, "Tell them We are done with them. We are leaving, the whole lot of us. And tell them please, that their God doesn't hate shrimp." I felt at once alone. I stumbled into my house then, looking for sanity in an anti-psychotic p.r.n.

Could I charge
people admission to see the miraculous charred aluminum siding and the burnt up bush? Should I call the emergency Mental Health Hell number for a psychotropic medication review? Would Americans ever figure out which theocracy is the correct theocracy. I sighed then, knowing that there was truly no hope for us, none at all.

I find it rather amusing as today is the day that 231 years ago the framers of the United States constitution finally came together to vote on the document and take it back to their states to officially vote on it within their own state’s assemblies, and then bring it back to have it ratified by the Continental Congress, that most people don’t actually know that. I listened to a lot of those “man On The Street” interviews this week on my favorite radio shows where they simply made a spectacle of the stupidity of the people walking out front of their buildings. It might sound harsh, but unfortunately I have come to view the total ignorance of this country in general to be far more than laughable because it is slowly starting to become the very downfall of it. We take great delight in acknowledging how Islamic Theocracies take their Qur’an and simply dictate it to the ignorant and then the next thing you know we have teenagers with bombs strapped to them in the name of Allah, but we never acknowledge that that is what we call schools here.

I have always encouraged people to read the Bill of Rights because it is written in plain English, and dictates the laws that Congress must abide to, and not the laws that the general population have towards each other. In other words, the Constitution was a contract by the States to be represented by a Federal Government, and the Bill of Rights was the articles that Congress was bound to treat all the people it serves by. Most left wing factions have butchered the crap out of this and I often find myself amused yet scared at how well people have relied on others to explain it to them. Most importantly I think it is important to remember the context to which it was all placed as well. At the time the people that framed the Constitution and the Bill of Rights were at war with their own government as it sought to succeed from the very government and at the same time was making a set of laws and values that protected people from the new government that would take its place. It was not a chunk of land that was uninhabited and the rule of law was being imposed on both ends with weaponry, as it is in ALL cultures in the beginning.

The preamble of the Constitution is as follows … “We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.” Then it simply goes through a long trail of how the Government will be comprised “The Legislative Branch” {Congress} “The Presidency” {Executive} “The Judiciary” {Courts} all in plain English as I had said and not knowing it is ignorance because it effects your life, and not knowing it means that you are subject to tyrannical interpretation. I don’t really need to go any further on that but the last part also known as the Amendments that were added in the first Constitutional Convention in 1791 are what really needs explaining.

Article I - Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. - You will note the most important part of this is the first word “Congress” as it tends to get lost in all of these arguments. It says nowhere that I will respect your religion, or even acknowledge it. Atheists love to throw this one around as their mantra of how “Your” religion is bad and doesn’t belong anywhere, and they have the right to say what they want about you. It’s become a form of religion unto itself to be anti religion and the fact remains that all this right says is that Congress can’t do anything to anyone over it. People who are not members of Congress actually have the right to retaliate in any way they see fit, that doesn’t break any laws. Be creative because hell can be cast upon the Self Righteous within the scope of the law. I suggest air horn cans because you have the right to free speech as well and those things hurt people’s ears.

Article II - A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. - Without a doubt the most butchered amendment next to the first. The right of the people to keep and bear arms is tantamount to the ability of American citizens to keep living in a free society. Stalin, Hitler, Chavez, Castro, and every maniacal dictator in the history of mankind has always maintained their power by making sure that their citizenry has no access to the weapons necessary to ensure their rights. Many have said that nobody needs mortars, machine guns, hand grenades, etc etc but rest assured when “They” come to get your .22 that they let you keep for hunting ducks, they will have them. It always starts with the powers at the top, not the ones at the bottom.

Article III - No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. - It was a typical British thing to do, to seize property of people to disrupt society and impose their dominance. As the years went on it became the popular way and means of anyone who would wish to keep the people “down” and in turn it was important to make sure that Congress didn’t start forcing the citizens to give up their freedoms in the name of a military. Again, it was and still is commonplace for the most disgusting of governments to steal from the poor to keep their military power over them.

Amendment IV - The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. - It was popular for the King to order that anyone he didn’t trust be humiliated by seizure of assets and their property be searched until they could find something to hold against them. The Congress was specifically given the order that they could not do this under any circumstances except those that would be given them by legal written documentation of a Judiciary. This gets mangled by every thug on Earth considering the Police to be Congress. For those of you that don’t know this, they are not, and actually have the legal authority of the Judiciary, as they are unelected. Again it is a classic example of fact being changed by rumor, ignorance and misinformation.

Amendment V - No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. - As you can see this one really stands out these days as most people {again stricken with ignorance} don’t actually know the wording of said right and how it works. The fear that uneducated people could be taken into court and accused of crimes that they had no comprehension of was a reality in those days. Many people under British Common Law got put to death {forcing them to have to eliminate their death penalty because they will never fix their own legal “dumb-assedness” so at least this way innocent people rot in prison forever instead of die} and by making it illegal for Congress to force people to testify it made it a lot harder to frame the uneducated masses of the country. This amendment also set forth the other exceptions based on military {war crimes} as well as when being put before a grand jury { in the event of a REALLY serious crime that requires more zest} just in case of looming ignorance and judicial abuse. It also protects you from having your things taken for impending criminalities that haven’t been proven, or to be continually taken into court until they can finally prove you guilty.

Amendment VI - In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense. - The easiest way to explain this is “Nothing disinfects like sunlight” since the European method of legal jurist prudence during the 1700’s involved a dungeon and the accused never to be heard from again.

Amendment VII - In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law. - Basically an extension of the amendments previous in being able to get a fair trial by your peers and not being continually in the court system by a tyrannical magistrate. The King of England loved making his enemies spend every waking day for the rest of their lives be spent in a court so they had no time to do anything else. Most usually gave up and killed them selves so their families could find another provider as they were unable to work. Hitler found this to be a great practice a few centuries later.

Amendment VIII - Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted. - Again we need to remember that this Government was trying to make sure that the ways of the old Government didn’t unduly punish people. Part of the law was to make sure that Congress never got beyond its own power and held people unjustly or punished them unfairly. {Keep in mind that this as all amendments only applies to American citizens as pertaining to our Government. Nobody being held prisoner of war is entitled to ANY constitutional rights and are only kept in favor by the terms of the Geneva Convention assuming that they represent another legitimate signatory of the Geneva Convention in good standing}

Amendment IX - The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. - In other words, “This only pertains to Congress and what they can or can not do to you” or like I say often “See even they knew back then that you all would forget.”

Amendment X - The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people. - Basically this part was put in to remind the Congress that the entire Constitution was still an agreement by the Federal Government to control the borders and regulate trade, and NOT a contract to govern over it. Unfortunately we as a nation are so far removed from this that someone in Utah that doesn’t like Utah state law can simply go to an appeals court in San Francisco full of total whacko’s and get Utah law changed, or other things basically along those lines. Many still believe that the South had every right to succeed from the United States because their rights to create their own laws on a state by state basis were being trampled, and they were right in my opinion.

Now as I had said these were simply added afterwards by a fair and legal constitutional process and by reading the Federalist Papers you can actually see what was really going through the minds of the elected Congress that were filing these amendments. We have simply accepted the United States Constitution and its Amendments to be a living document and seem to think that it changes from year to year based on the collective of “thinking” of the times. It’s not very smart to live your lives that way as most people given the opportunity to actually read it as it is written can see that indoctrination at the level of education, media, and public discourse can change anything given time. It’s hard to believe that the men that started this nation would look down upon what they see today and grimace, or smile, or have any opinion whatsoever. Times have changed but the documents that have started and hold this nation together have not, and it is best to leave things alone until you are damn sure that you know what you are doing. For those that always look to the next generation and assume that they are the ruination of the world should look back at the last generation and ask themselves if THEY have made it any better than the generation before them. I happen to be one of those that look back several generations and then look forward to getting rid of the last generation to get the sanity of this nation back ;8o)

Declaration of Independence: Its Purpose


Here I go again..I know that sometimes you all wish I would just crawl under a rock somewhere, and stop with all this History. Well I admire all of History and feel there is a great deal that we have yet to learn and understand from our founding fathers that help bring this great Nation. So with that in mind and being one of my favorite hoilday's (next to Halloween) I would like to share with you all something.
---After its adoption, and throughout the last quarter of the eighteenth century, the Declaration of Independence was viewed primarily as a pronouncement of separation from Great Britain and not as the sacred political document it is today.
---One of the points made over and over again was that the purpose of the Declaration of Independence was to justify/explain the separation of the colonies from England to other European countries and elicit support from them.
There are things actually wrote as to the real purpose of the the Declaration of Independence and frankly I really don't understand how something we were taught and brought up on about History on this day (well actually started on July 2nd) can be talked about as: It was never intended to be a document as it is thought to be today/ I can remember reading about this day in History and everytime I read it or watch a reinactment of this, I still get goose bumbs. To image history unfolding as it did, and to what it is today. When the part comes up every time, be it in a book, a movie and or in History..These are the most powerful words to have been spoken for this time and I love it.
We hold these truths to be sacred & undeniable; that all men are created equal & independant, that from that equal creation they derive rights inherent & inalienable, among which are the preservation of life, & liberty, & the pursuit of happiness. Last Night's Visitation

Because I've covered the window with foil, at night my room is black as pitch. So black you can't even see your hand in front of your face. But I saw something last night that really freaked me out. When Eric got up to use the bathroom and get a blanket, I knew he was not in the room even though it was pitch black. But a black figure, about 6 feet tall stepped to the side of the bed, looked down at me then disappeared through the wall!!! I got the sense it was male and wasn't all that nice. I immediately turned the light on until Eric came back in the room.

Now I'm wondering how I'm going to sleep in that room during the week when Eric's not here to be my protector. *chewing nails to nubs*
