A Murder Of Crows - Volume 5

Well here in New Hampshire we have a really high profile news story going around that I had talked about last April {2006} and really should have died by now, but apparently has reared it's ugly head again. I was only involved based on the fact that the man who is accused of the things that he is being accused of happens to be my daughter's best friend's father. He was running for the Democratic nomination for the house seat in my district {of course he lives down the street} in Hew Hampshire, and at the time was involved in a rather nefarious automobile accident. They couldn't find him for 27 hours if my mind serves me correctly, and when they did he was suffering frostbite on his feet from crossing the Bellamy River. He apparently from what the story had said went into shock and wandered off. It was a huge hullabaloo and supposedly cost him the election. In reality as someone who usually understands punditry and all he never really had a chance anyway and perhaps his 10 percent of the vote was on name recognition from that.

Here's where I come in as I had written a blog and an article for the local paper stating that the person I knew as the father of my daughter's best friend was incapable of these things and was a super human being. I don't seem like much realistically, but in this area I am a bit of a outspoken lobbyist for certain things on my side of the isle {which was the opposite of his so needless to say he never had my vote anyway} which had at times transpired into many different things making press in the area. Most notably I had caused quite a stir as I had logged a lot of time in town and city council meetings railing for articles of succession from the state when the state decided to start distributing taxes heavily on my district. It was approved in two towns so needless to say I know a few things and people respect that at times. I felt it was fair for me to say my peace on a fellow father in the neighborhood that I had found to be an upstanding citizen, and of course his wife and his daughter were very important people to my daughter.

What a difference a year makes in the lifetime of a simple janitor from New Hampshire who happens to be the head of the poorest family in the richest town, as the headlines on all the papers yesterday was that he most likely was involved in an affair with one of his staffers and that was why this happened. It is because of the criminal investigation that has stemmed from the whole story based on him falsifying evidence in his disappearance, and I can’t deny that it looks like he did. The details aren't important but my first reaction was that the news media around here really needed better things to do with their time because not only was this story old, but he was never that important to begin with. Then of course I started feeling sorry for his daughter who was the best kid in school, the most positive role model in my daughters life, and an activist on very many important committees in the area at such a young age that I figured immediately that it must have crushed her. I blamed the news for simply dredging up something that was so unimportant to the world and damaging that poor young girl needlessly and was a lot angrier then I would have thought.

I then thought about his poor wife. She's a beautiful, sweet woman who volunteers for absolutely everything at the school. She tirelessly drives around tons of kids to the best recreations that will keep them out of trouble and has always adopted my own daughter as if she was her own. This woman is not prototypical of the type of woman we see now ignoring the infidelities of her husband in any way shape or form. She is no Hillary Clinton that that would probably prostitute her husband for whatever she wants, and will blindly accept it all as long as some form of power comes to her or she is allowed to hold the arm of someone so esteemed. No as a matter of fact this is Donna Reed and again I was furious at the media for bringing this shit up, and was ready to sit down last night and start writing the most abusive things about the local papers around here that I have always hated anyway. I was going to fight the power and take it down once and for all {as if they cared} and nobody was going to stop me.

The problem here seriously is that I was letting my emotions about the whole thing get the best of me and I hadn’t surmised what really was at stake or going on in all of this. I did a little homework and found a lot of things that can’t be proven whatsoever about the alleged affairs that are being reported by a fired campaign worker, but I could find a heck of a lot of evidence saying that his car crash and his story were a pile of crap. It’s too bad realistically that I am watching the life of a local politician and a family that I personally care about as they are intertwined with my own despite our definite political differences be torn apart in all of this but at the same time I am saddened that somehow there are things that are not being reported in all of this as well, and there unfortunately is only one person to blame regardless of what the truth is. That would be my daughter’s best friend’s father.

It’s an interesting paradox realistically as we have now spent about 14 years dedicating almost all political chatter to who in the white house lies. It’s that 24/7 hate cycle that goes around and in reality I am not going to put my slant on any of this because I have a dog in that fight, but apologists on both sides of the isle are making it impossible to have honesty in politics any more anyway. At this time we have former and unapologetic Klu Klux Klan member representing West Virginia in the Senate, and we have a man who left the scene of an auto accident that ended up killing a woman representing Massachusetts in the senate. I am pulling these two off the top of my head because I can and I know there are others that have done bad stuff, but these two have been there for over 40 years each and win by tremendous landslides, but the last two presidents fart wrong and they are taken to the woodshed.

It makes you wonder realistically what the real agendas are at all times, but here’s the part that really gets me seriously, and what I have been trying to tell everyone for years when they whine about why there isn’t any good politicians. In a day and age where a Supreme Court Justice can be ridiculed for weeks and there can actually be a clamor for him to be impeached because he did the “chin flick” to a reporter like a lot of other Italians in this world do, then how dare anyone cry about scripted politicians. In a day and age where the NAACP can tear down a politician because he called a guy “Macaca” at a political event while the guy he was running against actually admitted to driving around with their practice rifles pretending to shoot “niggers” {as he had stated it to the news reporters} when he was in college then don’t cry about who lies to get where they are. You have to be a total idiot or a power hungry liar to run for politics anyway and the American people will reward you for either every time.

I have no dog in this political fight really because the man I voted for is making this country an annexed part of Mexico as we speak. I’m not a revisionist either as I watch the two people he ran against trying to force socialist environmental policies down everyone’s throats right now as I told you all they would as president so I still made the right decision. The fact of the matter though as I am looking at it all is that there really are no right decisions anymore. I am not calling for a third party because that is actually throwing away your votes, and as the front runner for that other party is reminding me simply by being in the elections upcoming, that the results of that are horrible. Another 8 years of a convicted liar would not do anyone any good, but his wife scares me with her abilities or lack there of. At least her husband had charisma, she just has people that will destroy you like a Stalin regime for pointing out she has none. Nobody will call her on this either outside of the mainstream and again I am watching how the candidates running against her have to play the script, while she isn’t even good enough to act. For that I blame everyone, because it was the American people that made anyone who wants to be a politician either an idiot or a power hungry liar, and I don’t see anyone standing up and saying, “I want you warts and all” because what the majority of people in this country are screaming is “I wanna see your warts so I can slaughter you.” ;8o)

PROFILE

I am blue space goddess. Spaced out, burnt out, springing from the mud between your toes. Leaning this way and that, I yearn for more. More, more, more. My fevered imagination yields a state of high anxiety. I laugh at kangaroos in closets and all sorts of things. I am a jester and a fool and a hermit. I talk too little, too much. I celebrate my atypical neurology because I love and honor my life. I have not found Peace because I don't know that she has been lost. Buried perhaps underneath a myriad of unholy wars; ah but that is a story for another day.

IMPULSIVITY AND DECISION-MAKING 5/6/07

On my trip to various cities out west, I was directly confronted with my increased impulsivity courtesy of my traumatic brain injury. My first day in Chicago, I cursed out a store employee at the airport [under my breath] because he claimed not to have change "even if" I "bought something" which I was willing to do. I needed a single for the subway so I could get to the train station. I removed myself and reminded myself that he was doing his job and that was that. Mentally, I congratulated myself for exercising some restraint. I did get my change but not from him. I cursed out someone else somewheres else-- again under my breath-- but I remember neither the time nor the circumstance.

In Phoenix I had to admit that my impulsivity could lead to dangerous consequences. When I took one bus that turned before I needed it to and didn't allow the driver to complete an explanation [which she gave to another passenger a few stops later] that another bus was coming which would take me to my destination, I was left on a corner wondering if I should "walk" the remaining distance. Fortunately, I remembered something about calling and asking someone with sense about these things. So I called my friend with my [borrowed] cellphone and I learned that I should not walk through Papago Park on a hot day. So I waited for the bus. The first few days in the Sonoran Desert which was Phoenix Arizona, I noted that people carried water or Gatorade with them. It took me several days [and a very long walk to and from the zoo-- from and to a bus stop-- with no taxis in sight] for me to connect with the idea that I need to drink more fluids AND to also carry water or Gatorade with me.

In trying to keep up with the demands involved in re-learning how to utilize public transit, I put myself at risk for dehydration. I was "lucky" not to endure medical consequences for my poor decision-making combined with my impulsivity. By time I got to Sedona, I was carrying water with me almost everywhere I went. Sedona's weather was a tad cooler but hydration still a necessity. I also elected to take jeep tours rather than walk great distances to unfamiliar hiking trails.

This impulsivity is polar opposite to my pre-injury personality which involved cursing people out [not always under my breath] but did not involve risk-taking, especially with health concerns. I survived the Sonoran and learned a few things about my vulnerabilities and liabilities in the process. When the airplane taking me home was landing, I felt triumphant for managing to [mostly] take care of myself and [mostly] making good enough decisions over the past three weeks alone.

A Murder Of Crows - Volume 4

Well the American news media has found a new platform in which to stand these days that gets a lot of people riled up in the new mantra of “Freedom of speech being the actual right to be heard,” and it immediately brought a bitter taste to my mouth as it totally defies common sense from the get go. Like most things that happen these days as it pertains to being actually indoctrinated into you by the popular news media sources, it requires little thinking outside the box and loses it's amusement rather quickly when you are forced to see that you may indeed be surrounded by a lot of people that actually refuse to think for themselves. I am talking about the newest assault on my sanity which was John Mellencamp's ingenious idea to add Joan Biaz to his performance at Walter Reed medical center. This immediately was denied by the people in charge of the military entertainment, and within hours it was being portrayed as a “Free speech” violation throughout the news.

The entire belief that her obvious anti war sentiments throughout her own history of existence had anything to do with the decision at first makes a compelling argument except for the fact that a second look will also tell you that Rage Against the Machine has performed at Walter Reed and actually has a far more radical anti war stance than Biaz did on her best day. They have been recorded screaming anti war sentiments that include hanging and burning the president, the fact that they have performed there recently is being totally omitted from any of these stories because it would lead to a more simple answer to why she is not allowed to perform there. That is simply the fact that nobody there wants to listen to her. My own brain told me that almost immediately as I thought to myself, “Mother of God she sucks,” before I even remembered that she was an anti war pro socialist zealot for her entire career. On that note I also say, “More power to her,” but I would rather have died on the battlefield then have to listen to her music while I was trying to recuperate from my injuries and I am pretty sure that the soldiers that all tend to be a lot younger than me, feel the same way. This is a fact, nothing more, nothing less. I could go on and on about how the very same people that whine about torture for terrorists are now promoting torture for our war wounded but I think once is enough.

Mellencamp is far from being without sin in all of this as he couldn't possibly be stupid enough to think that her music would be relevant to a 20 year old, and personally should be ashamed of himself for even thinking about making a military hospital into a circus or even doing anything to try to force his ideals on to people that just don't want them regardless. The media who was clamoring for the next great “Free Speech” debate just happen to be the very same people that have fought tirelessly to ban people from saying certain words that they can get a gang charged up over. Think about Don Imus, and his lack of a job today and what really caused all of the fervor and then tell me that the news media really wants free speech. Without even having to go too far outside the box, the news media in America is still trying to install the old Communist Manifest of controlling all of the speech and they will employ any old “useful idiot” that they can get their hands on to succeed in that one way or another. Joan Biaz can feel free to “atone” for her Vietnam War Sins {which is how the spin is going on why she wanted to be there} by going and performing at the VFW and AmVet halls where she can actually look at a lot of the people that felt personally effected by her actions, but that doesn't appear to have the type of forced spectators that makes the bigger circus. Please keep in mind that I am not even a Joan Biaz hater because unlike Jane Fonda and John Kerry who actively participated in enemy propaganda she was just doing free speech and peacefully in her day as an artist. This is not then and she has no relevance as an entertainer to the military so again I say shame on Mellencamp for all of this bologna!

If I were to cut even deeper into the problem as I had alluded to before, it is this very type of beahavior that makes people angry. We remove things that a lot of people think are good from common speech, and then we insist that not only do others have the right to say what they want, but you are going to be forced to listen all the time. We’ve removed all racial epitaphs from any sort of public speaking to the point where using a word like niggardly {a real word for cheap or stingy} will get you chastised and more likely then not, you will lose your job over it. While at the same time, if a bunch of soldiers who are in a hospital recuperating from injuries on a battlefield, don’t want to hear a questionably talented dinosaur from the last big circus of a war, then they are being closed minded. Perhaps we should insist that Puff Daddy and Anthrax perform at the next AARP meeting and see how big that is. We could run around saying that their “Freedom of Speech” is being violated, and then protest the AARP.

This is why I get infuriated by polling and campaign finance reform. As a typical non-owner of any media outlets in this world my opinion doesn’t mean jack shit and neither does any of yours. A lot of people may believe that the media is out there doing a good job on our behalf and a lot of that actually is a 3 phase issue. First being the people who have simply believed what they have heard their whole lives and don’t really think outside the box. Second being those that are skeptical of everything they hear on the media and simply throw their hands up in the air as they are powerless. The third being those that are skeptical of the media and when they speak up against it they are completely closed off from it, or worse yet they have their speech taken away from them. A good example of this would be the NAACP and those that represent the “Black People” in America. You know that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are the only ones allowed to speak for these people and the news media totally reinforces that. Come to me and tell me about “Free Speech” when Alan Keyes, Thomas Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Jesse Peterson, or Condoleezza Rice are allowed to speak on behalf of anyone. They have been closed out of that loop despite reaching the pinnacles of their chosen fields and predominantly doing it on their own with no public hand outs or steps up.

I was listening to a very intelligent talk show host in Los Angeles today who happens to be a black man, and he was up in arms about illegal immigration because out in Los Angeles {The Liberal equivalent of Mecca where everything should be perfectly fair and equal} that black people are almost completely unemployable. He took a trip with his wife out to Washington DC and she was absolutely shocked to see that black people were allowed to work in the Airport there and more over in the McDonalds. We take these things for granted across this country and consider these things “shit jobs” but in southern California you are completely closed off from any of these jobs unless you can speak Spanish, and in a lot of circumstances you are closed off from any of these services unless you can speak Spanish as well. It’s such a given that they don’t even talk about, and the news is NOT going to let the rest of the country know where we are going. I don’t see any of the “Civil Rights” leaders out there fighting the good fight. No press coverage, absolutely nothing while it is considered a simple fact of life. In reality the freedom to speak and be heard are there just like you would think they are, just not in English and apparently the news media is just fine with that. ;8o)

Protests again across the country

It has been said at first you don't succeed you must try and try again...But with that in mind is used a bit of common sense about the above statement. Today marks the Anniversary of the day that alot of Illegals/Legal immigrant's took to the streets and started the protest for how they make our America work better...That we as Americans cannot survive without Illegals/Legals. Let me first set the record straight for those that are either new to my blog or for those that don't go back and read some of my old post. I welcome anyone (as do many) to this land of the free..but come over here and do it the Legal way and with that you take on the custom of being thankful for the flag that gave you that freedom from whatever country you came from, we don't ask that you forget your roots..but for God's sake don't burn the American flag the flag that gave you the freedom from whatever struggle you came here for to begin with. Don't act like a traitor to this land..For I will tell you we don't like it. This isn't a show, nor reality show...you came here for a reason and with passion to get over here to America. Don't piss on it!!!! Where exactly am I going with all this?
Today was yet another protest!!!!!!!! Here and probably across the United States and with that I just wonder what are you really fighting for? The protest in Detroit was yet another "Demand" a stop put on immigration raids and deportations. You have got to be kidding me? I mean hello did someone forget about 9-11???? Raids are there to protect us so we don't have what happened to us once happen again. That goes for Legal and Illegal!!! That is what this world has come to, like it or not. This group of immigration happens to be from Mexico..and from the news report there happens to be 150,000 immigrations in the state of MI and no one really knows how many are legal and how many are Illegal. What does that tell you? Now mind you there are some hard honest working people that come to this country and want to do the right thing, I get that..the unfortunate thing about this is there are also the bad ones as well and with that is where the problem comes in. Alot of the Illegals/Legals come here mad at the Americans because they have to wait so long..now whose fault do you think that is? Its not the Americans fault; Do you think for one second that we just want anyone in this country after so many lives were lost? Do you think we want people in our country that are going to burn our flag? Do you think that we want to have people over here that are going to just burn up the system? We want productive people, people that are passionate about this country and care about this country and people that care about our men and women in Iraq. People that want to make a difference...Not people that are going the threaten and put Demands on us..It just doesn't make sense.
Have the huge crowd of protest and say what you want to say...but I am for the person that came over here legal...and the person that came over here and paid their dues to this country and stood out away from those crowds waving the American flag and saying I am with Lady Liberty.
